“I sleep for about two hours now, four hours at most. I feel it’s not bad for my skin,” Takaichi told parliament on November 8.
Before parliament, Takaichi was asked to explain the possibility of expanding the limit on overtime work, which was said to be to encourage economic growth.
The Japanese PM then said that workers and employers are different.He said some people choose to work two jobs to meet companies’ strict limits on overtime rules.
Takaichi emphasized that any changes while he leads will have the aim of protecting citizens.
“Indeed, if we could create a situation where people could balance childcare and parenting responsibilities as they see fit, and also be able to work, enjoy free time and relax, that would be ideal,” he said.
