Khamozaro Waruwu in the Taman Harapan Indah Complex, Jalan Pasar II, Tanjung Sari Village, Medan Selayang District, Medan City was successfully identified by the Medan Police.
Medan Police Chief Commissioner Calvijn Simanjuntak revealed that the judge’s former driver, Fahrul Aziz Siregar, was named the main suspect.He is suspected of planning to rob and burn down the house because he was hurt after being laid off from his job.

“Before the fire occurred, the suspect Fahrul Aziz planned to burn down the judge’s house by telling Oloan Hamonangan Simamora, who was the second suspect, that I wanted to rob the boss’s house and burn his house,” explained Calvijn Simanjuntak in a press conference at the Medan Police Headquarters, Friday (21/11)
Calvijn said the plan had been prepared since October 30 2025. During his three years working as a driver, Fahrul was considered to know the details of the house and complex environment.All this time, Fahrul Aziz Siregar held a deep grudge against the victim.
“His role was deliberately and planning to set the fire. The motive was hurt and revenge towards the victim. The suspect, Fahrul Aziz, was the victim’s former driver,” he explained.
According to Calvijn, the suspect Fahrul Aziz has been the judge’s driver for three years.The suspect is said to have known the ins and outs of the house and complex.
“The suspect was hurt because he was fired from the victim’s driver. So, this suspect knows the condition of the house, where the house keys are kept and the ins and outs of the housing complex,” he concluded.
Apart from Fahrul Aziz Siregar, who played a role in planning and carrying out the arson, the police also arrested three other suspects.Oloan Hamonangan Simamora is suspected of knowing about the crime plan and taking part in receiving the proceeds of the theft
“Then the suspect Hariman Sitanggang played a role in helping the suspect Aziz sell gold jewelry to the Munthe shop and received the proceeds from the sale of gold. And the fourth suspect Medy Mehamat, who is the owner of the Mas Barus Shop, played a role in buying the proceeds of crime or as a custodian,” he explained.
Judge Khamozaro Waruwu’s private house caught fire on Tuesday (4/11) at 10.41 WIB.At the time of the incident, the house was empty.The rooms that burned were the bedroom, kitchen and part of the living room.
Khamozaro was the presiding judge in the road project corruption trial in North Sumatra with the defendant Akhirun Piliang alias Kirun, Main Director of PT Dalihan Natolu Group (DNG), and his son Muhammad Rayhan Dulasmi Piliang alias Rayhan, Director of PT Rona Na Mora (RNM).
This case also involved the former Head of the North Sumatra PUPR Service, Topan Ginting, who is known to be a close person to the Governor of North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution.This case is the result of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Arrest Operation (OTT).
