around the National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/12).
One of the demands of the action to commemorate International Human Rights Day is the release of a number of activists who were arrested during a demonstration at the end of last August.
“Free our friends! Those who are being detained today are those who exercised their human rights to speak out,” shouted the orator from the command car.

, the protesters entered Jalan Agus Salim at around 13.20 WIB.
The demonstrators were united in wearing red clothes, carrying alliance flags and posters of demands.
“Happy International Human Rights Day 2025, Release Political Prisoners Immediately,” wrote one banner.
A number of activists were arrested following a demonstration at the end of August 2025.They were arrested on suspicion of inciting anarchist acts.
Now they have the status of defendants, namely the Director of the Lokataru Foundation Delpedro Marhaen, Lokataru Foundation staff Muzaffar Salim, admin @gejayanmemanggil Syahdan Husein, and students from the University of Riau and admin of the Student Alliance Suing Khariq Anhar.
They will have their initial trial on December 16 2025.
“The initial trial is planned for December 16 2025,” said Central Jakarta District Court (PN) spokesperson Sunoto in a written statement, Wednesday.
