Corruption Eradication Commission
) has examined 80 witnesses from 29 November to 5 December 2025 in the investigation of three clusters of cases of alleged bribery and receiving gratuities within the Ponorogo Regency Government.The examination was carried out at the Madiun City Police.
The witnesses examined consisted of elements from the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Ponorogo Regency Government to private parties.

“During the examination, investigators, among other things, studied the transfer mechanisms and procedures for ASN within the Ponorogo Regency Government, so that during the examination, investigators summoned and asked for information from a number of witnesses who knew the flow of the mutation process in Ponorogo Regency,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo when confirmed, Sunday (7/12).
Apart from that, Budi said that investigators were also examining parties from RSUD Dr.Harjono S Ponorogo to investigate allegations of bribery by the regent and his friends.
“This stems from the discovery of allegations of bribery in the construction of the RSUD project in Ponorogo in activities caught red-handed, namely that there were a number of vendors or service providers who gave bribes to the Director of the RSUD, who then also suspected that there was a flow of money from this criminal act of bribery from the Director of the RSUD to the Regent,” explained Budi.
Meanwhile, regarding the alleged receipt of gratuities, Budi said investigators also examined a number of witnesses from the Ponorogo Regency Culture, Tourism and Sports Service.
In following up on the case, investigators have searchedĀ a number of places and confiscated a lot of evidence.
“Previously, investigators also conducted searches in a number of locations, including the Culture Service and also several other locations, such as private parties, both offices and homes, which were suspected of being related to the procurement of the Reog Museum,” said Budi.
“Well, this will continue to be investigated from the search activities that were carried out in the previous week and from the statements given by witnesses who were examined intensively during this week, namely from the 80 witnesses in question,” he said.
The three clusters of alleged bribery and gratification that ensnared Sugiri Sancoko and the suspects, among others, relate to alleged bribery to maintain the position of Director of the Harjono Ponorogo Regional Hospital.
Then the second cluster is related to alleged bribery for a work project at the Harjono Ponorogo Regional Hospital in 2024 which is worth IDR 14 billion.Sucipto (SC), as a private partner of RSUD, is suspected of providing a project fee to YUM (Director of RSUD) of 10% of the project value, or IDR 1.4 billion.
The third cluster charged Sugiri Sancoko on suspicion of receiving gratuities.Sugiri is suspected of receiving a total of IDR 300 million in gratuities during the period 2023 to 2025.
The KPK has named four people as suspects in this case in Ponorogo.
They are the Regent of Ponorogo for the 2021-2025 and 2025-2030 periods, Sugiri Sukoco, Regional Secretary of Ponorogo Regency from 2012 until now, namely Agus Pramono, Director of RSUD Dr.Harjono, namely Yunus Mahatma, and the private partner of the Ponorogo Regional Hospital in a work package in the Ponorogo Regency environment, Sucipto.
Due to his actions, Sucipto, in terms of a work package within the Ponorogo Regency Government, was suspected of committing a criminal act of corruption as regulated in Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or b and/or Article 13 of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor).
Meanwhile, Sugiri together with Yunus Mahatma are suspected of committing criminal acts of corruption as regulated in Article 12 letter a or b and/or Article 11 and/or Article 12B of the Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.
Then Yunus was accused of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or b and/or article 13 of the Corruption Law in terms of managing his position.
Meanwhile, Sugiri together with Agus Pramono are accused of violating Article 12 letter a or b and/or Article 11 and/or Article 12B of the Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.
The suspects are being held at the KPK Red and White Branch State Detention Center (Rutan).
