Resbob
.
This was stated by the Chairman of the GMNI Surabaya DPC, Virgiawan Budi Prasetyo.He emphasized that his party would not accompany Resbob, who is currently involved in a case of alleged insults towards Persib Bandung Viking supporters and the Sundanese community.
“So we will not defend Resbob, because in our organizational rules we also strongly reject any form of SARA,” said Virgiawan when confirmed, Tuesday (16/12).

Virgiawan said that Resbob was indeed registered as a GMNI Surabaya cadre this year, or about three months ago, after participating in a series of cadre formation events.However, in the aftermath of this case, GMNI also imposed a sanction of dishonorable dismissal on the person concerned.
“Well, we will hand over this matter to APH (law enforcement officials). If indeed Resbob violates the elements of SARA, we encourage APH to resolve it legally,” he said.
Resbob’s dismissal was stated in a letter from the GMNI Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya (UWKS) Commissariat Management Board (DPK) No 038/ Int/DPK.GMNI-UWKS/XII/2025, which was copied to the GMNI Central Management Board (DPP), the GMNI East Java Regional Management Board (DPD) and the GMNI Surabaya Branch Management Board (DPC).
For GMNI, Resbob’s actions and statements contradict the values they adhere to, namely humanity, civility, national unity and the spirit of anti-discrimination.Resbob’s behavior was labeled as a form of deviation from the ideology and ideals of the GMNI struggle.
Virgiawan said that GMNI also adheres to socio-nationalist values which teach love for the nation without distinguishing between ethnic, cultural or social backgrounds;socio-democratic which places human dignity at the center of struggle;and belief in Almighty God demands ethics, morals and spiritual responsibility in acting and speaking.
“We agree that Resbob’s words have nothing to do with GMNI in fact. That is a personal matter for Resbob himself. So, in our organization we uphold unity. Regardless of ethnicity, race, religion or culture, anyone’s beliefs, we strongly reject the existence of SARA or racism,” he said.
After Resbob’s statement insulting certain tribes and groups went viral, GMNI immediately took action.They attempted to summon Resbob for ethical examination, and then processed in the organization’s plenary session.But the person concerned was not present.
“When Resbob was going to be tried through the organization’s plenary session, he could not be contacted at all. So today, friends from the DPK GMNI UWKS commissariat are holding a plenary session to dismiss Resbob as a GMNI cadre,” he said.
Resbob was fired from GMNI because his statement was deemed to be in the category of serious violations, as referred to in GMNI’s Articles of Association (AD) and Bylaws (ART).
“The dismissal process is indeed within our rules when one of the cadres is deemed to have committed a serious violation, one of which is Resbob. One of the sanctions that can be taken is dismissal or dismissal as a GMNI cadre, something like that,” he said.
