Active footballers and former players have been voicing prayers for the victims
Sumatra disaster
.They want the areas affected by the disaster to quickly recover as before.
Former Persija Jakarta star, Ramdani Lestaluhu expressed his empathy by auctioning off the Indonesian national team jersey with his name.IDR 100 million was successfully obtained and will be distributed to disaster victims.
“For me, I don’t know what I should contribute to help. But from a football gathering like this, perhaps only a jersey can be given,” said Ramdani at Madya Stadium, Friday (19/12).

“It doesn’t matter how much it sells, but for me I hope it can be useful for our brothers and sisters in Sumatra,” he added.
Then the legend of the Indonesian National Team, Ponaryo Astaman, supported the initiation of aid to victims of the Sumatran disaster by holding a charity match.He hopes that the results of the donation can light a glimmer of hope for his fellow countrymen who are affected.
“We have to sympathize and help with what our football friends have. Hopefully, with this charity match we can lighten the burden a little on our brothers and sisters there,” said Ponaryo.
Meanwhile FC Bekasi City goalkeeper, Ikram Algiffari also sympathized with the disaster that befell Sumatra.The player from Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra admitted that he was sad to see the impact of the disaster that hit his home province.
“It’s very sad because many houses were destroyed. The land seemed to be completely flat and of course there were many people who lost money,” he said.
“Hopefully he will recover soon and nothing like this will happen again,” he continued.
The football activists gathered for a charity match at the GBK Madya Stadium, Jakarta, Friday (19/12).The organizers held an auction with funds collected amounting to IDR 232 million.
APPI CEO, Mohamad Hardika Aji, said that the clothes being auctioned were costumes once worn by players.Several big names such as Rizky Ridho, Ramdani Lestaluhu, Egy Maulana Vikri, and Rafael Struick contributed jerseys.
Then clubs such as Persib Bandung and PSS Sleman also auctioned off jerseys through this charity match.The highest price for the jersey released was that of Ramdani Lestaluhu, valued at IDR 100 million.
“If I’m not mistaken, the jersey auction could generate a total of IDR 232 million from the jersey auction alone. Then there are also monetary donations that have not been recorded. We will definitely report it,” said Aji.
