when he was about to be arrested in the Hand Arrest Operation (OTT) last December 18.
Tri Taruna, who has been named by the KPK as a suspect in the alleged extortion case, is currently still on the run.The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will include his name in the People Wanted List (DPO).
“It is true that according to the report from our officers who carried out the arrest, the suspect put up resistance and ran away,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Committee, Asep Guntur Rahayu, in a press conference at his office, Jakarta, Saturday (20/18) morning.

“So currently a search is being carried out for the person concerned and of course we will issue a DPO if the search that is being carried out does not produce results or the person concerned is not found,” he added.
Asep said that his party would also coordinate with the South Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office in the search for Tri Taruna.
“Of course we will coordinate with the relevant agencies in stages because the person concerned is at HSU, of course above him is the High Prosecutor’s Office. We will also coordinate with his family, usually if you run away or go to his acquaintances or family,” said Asep.
Apart from Tri Taruna, the KPK also named the Head of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu, and the Head of the Intelligence Section of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Asis Budianto, as suspects in the alleged extortion case.
Both of them have been detained at the KPK State Detention Center (Rutan) for the first 20 days starting from 19 December 2025 to 8 January 2026.
The suspects are suspected of violating Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter f of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 of the Criminal Code.
