In Kelantan, the number of residents affected by flooding increased from 7,830 people to 8,248 people.Based on the Ministry of Social Welfare’s (JKM) disaster info portal, 33 temporary shelter centers (PPS) have been established in four areas, namely, Kota Bharu, Tumpat, Bachok and Pasir Puteh.
In Penang, the number of flood victims was recorded as 242 people from 57 families.A total of four PPS have been opened for the evacuation of residents.
In Perlis, the number of residents affected by the flood also increased from 114 people to 811 people.
Director of the Perlis Civil Defense Force, Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Izaimi Md Daud, said all affected residents had been placed in six PPS in Padang Besar, Kangar and Arau.
In Perak, four districts were also hit by floods, forcing 900 people to flee.Perak residents took refuge in 16 PPS spread across Manjung, Central Perak, Larut Matang Selamat, and Batang Padang.
In Selangor, two PPS were opened in the Sabak Bernam district starting Sunday (23/11) to accommodate 51 people from 14 families.Based on JKM disaster information records, all residents are now in the Sri Bernam Council and Sri Sekinchan Council.
In Kedah, the number of affected residents decreased from 404 people to 388 people.All residents who fled from the Kulim district were reported to be in three PPS, namely the Al Muhtadin Sungai Seluang Mosque, the Kedah Naga Lilit Regional Progress Institute Surau, and the Permatang Tok Dik National School (SK).
In Terengganu, the number of residents affected also fell from 359 people to 282 people.According to the official JKM Disaster Info website, all residents took shelter in one PPS, namely SK Kuala Besut.
