Hong Kong authorities also reported 79 people including 11 firefighters were injured.
Rescue and search efforts for victims are still continuing.Officers have succeeded in extinguishing the fire after it burned for more than 24 hours.
Meanwhile, according to reports
The Guardian
, citing a member of a non-governmental organization (NGO) said that 11 Indonesian citizens and 19 Filipino citizens were still reported missing.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Hong Kong has not been able to confirm the number of Indonesian citizens who have disappeared because the verification and identification process is still ongoing.
“Because data on Indonesian citizens who have been reported missing continues to grow rapidly, the Indonesian Consulate General has not been able to provide the data to the public so far,” said the Deputy Consul for Social and Cultural Information at the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong, Zivya Syifa, to

A fire broke out at an apartment building complex in Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, northern Hong Kong on Wednesday afternoon.Of the eight buildings, seven of them caught fire.
This incident became one of the deadliest fires in 75 years in Hong Kong.
When the fire broke out, a number of buildings were being renovated and there was a lot of bamboo and Styrofoam scaffolding which is thought to have caused the fire to spread more quickly.
Until now the cause of the fire is still being investigated, including the use of bamboo scaffolding.
Hong Kong authorities have also arrested five people suspected of being responsible for the fire.They are two directors of renovation consultants and three senior staff of renovation companies.
