Acting President of the Malaysian Football Association (
FAM
), Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Haji Mahadi, responded after FIFA revealed written reasons regarding the rejection of the appeal submitted by FAM regarding the case of fake documents for seven naturalized Malaysian players.
“FAM would like to inform you that we have received complete reasons for the decision given by FIFA regarding the rejection of FAM’s appeal regarding the eligibility status of seven Malaysian heritage players,” said Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Haji Mahadi, quoted from FAM’s Instagram on Tuesday (18/11).
The FIFA Appeals Committee finally provided written reasons behind the rejection of the appeal of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) as well as the seven legacy players involved in the case of falsifying naturalization documents.

In an official document published in
FIFA website
on Tuesday (18/11), the FIFA Disciplinary Committee provided a detailed explanation of the decision announced on November 3.In essence, FIFA has proven that the documents of seven naturalized players are fake.
Even though FIFA has revealed evidence regarding the falsification of documents for seven naturalized Malaysian players, FAM still insists that they have not committed any wrongdoing as alleged.

FAM also decided to continue the case of falsifying documents of seven naturalized Malaysian players to the Sports Arbitration Court (CAS).
“Therefore, FAM will initiate the process to take this case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). This step is being taken to ensure that justice can be served and to maintain the integrity of the player eligibility process that has been established by the Malaysian Government and related bodies,” said Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Haji Mahadi.
“FAM remains committed to fighting for the rights of all players who are eligible to represent the country, and will ensure that every action is taken professionally, transparently and in accordance with appropriate legal channels,” added Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Haji Mahadi.
