The bus with plate number B 7201 IV which departed from Jatiasih to Yogyakarta accidented on the KM 420-200 toll road at Simpang Susun Krapyak, Semarang, killing 16 people.
“The bus accident resulted in the deaths of 16 victims, then eight were injured. Currently the deceased victims are being buried at Dr Kariadi Hospital and at Tugu Hospital,” said Central Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Ribut Hari Wibowo at Dr Kariadi Hospital, Semarang, Monday (22/12).

The bus is not roadworthy

Driver urine test
The police will carry out a urine test on the Cahaya Trans bus driver who had an accident at the Krapyak toll exit interchange, Semarang City.
Currently the bus driver is still being examined and is undergoing medical treatment at the hospital.
“The driver is safe and is still being treated. The driver has undergone medical treatment. Meanwhile the police will carry out further investigations and carry out urine tests,” said Ribut.
