Police stated that students at SDN 01 Kalibaru, Cilincing, North Jakarta were carrying out reading literacy activities before being hit by a delivery car

“At 06.30 WIB, the students were in the field at SDN 01 Kalibaru to take part in reading literacy activities, then suddenly the MBG car entered and crashed/broke through the gate of SD01, thereby hitting the students who were in the field,” said Cilincing Police Chief Commissioner Bobi Subasri to reporters, Thursday (11/12).
The MBG delivery car was driven by a substitute driver named Adi Irawan and accompanied by an internet worker with the initials MRR.The MBG car belongs to SPPG Cilincing Kalibaru which is managed by the Darul Esti Sumidah Foundation.

The driver and maid are currently still being intensively questioned regarding this incident.From the temporary inspection, the driver admitted that he stepped on the wrong pedal of the vehicle.
“So the driver’s statement was that the school was at the top, uphill. Well, coincidentally he wanted to deliver the food to the school, this is temporary information, not certain, temporary,” said Bobi.
“He wanted to go up to the top, he wanted to brake, he said the brakes weren’t working, right, because he was afraid he would crash (reverse), he injected (the brake) inside, then he thought it was (the brake was applied), it turned out to be gas,” he continued.
The MBG delivery car hit students at SDN 01 Kalibaru, Cilincing, North Jakarta who were carrying out activities in the school field on Thursday (11/12).
This incident caused 21 people, who were teachers and students, to become victims and had to undergo medical treatment.The police confirmed that there were no casualties in this incident.
After the incident, Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) BGN Sony Sanjaya immediately went to the location.He said, his party handed over the investigation process to the police, including the cause.
