officially donated the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation Building (
YLBHI
) to YLBHI.
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung witnessed the handover of the building by the Head of the DKI National Unity and Politics Agency, Muhammad Matsani to YLBHI Trustee, Todung Mulya Lubis at the YLBHI Building, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (18/12).
Pramono said that the YLBHI building grant is a manifestation of the DKI Provincial Government’s commitment to building partnerships that are healthy, transparent and oriented towards community interests, especially in fulfilling access to justice through free legal aid.

“As Governor of DKI Jakarta, I am most happy because today the YLBHI building can finally be officially handed over and donated to YLBHI. We carry out this process through intensive coordination and communication so that the resolution of institutional relations runs in an orderly manner and in accordance with regulations,” said Pramono.
The building renovation and improvement process has been proposed since 2006 and is now entering an important stage with the completion of the asset donation process from the DKI Provincial Government.
With this grant, the management of the land and buildings of the YLBHI Building is completely under YLBHI.
Pramono stated that YLBHI is at the forefront of the struggle for democracy and defending people’s rights in Indonesia.
He hopes that YLBHI will continue to be a locomotive for democracy and a strategic partner for the government in fighting for social justice for all Jakarta residents.
“YLBHI will always be the voice and mouthpiece of the people in our democratic system. Therefore, we, the DKI Provincial Government, are opening the widest possible space for the public, including YLBHI, to control and correct the running of the government,” he said.
