DKI Jakarta Provincial Government
in collaboration with the central and provincial Family Empowerment and Welfare Mobilization Team (TP PKK), held a Health Service Activity to Commemorate Mother’s Day 2025 at RSKD Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Wednesday (10/12).
The series consists of Free Cataract Surgery, Free Health Checks, and Free Glasses Distribution.

“Today, we gather to carry out the Cataract Surgery Health Service in the DKI Jakarta area. It is an honor for the DKI Jakarta Provincial PKK Mobilization Team to be the host for this health service,” said the Head of the TP PKK Center Tri Tito Karnavian in his speech at RSKD Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Wednesday (10/12).
Tri explained that this activity had been held twice, after holding the same thing last year.
“Actually, this is the second activity that we are carrying out for Mother’s Day, last year 2024, and we will continue this again in 2025 because it turns out there are a lot of people interested in cataract surgery,” said Tri
3400 free glasses
In this event there was also a symbolic distribution of free glasses.
The total number of free glasses distributed was 3400 glasses, with details of 1700 for school children, and the rest for people aged 40 years and over who needed them.
On this occasion, Chairman of the TP PKK DKI Jakarta Endang Nugrahani Pramono Anung conveyed that one important aspect that is often overlooked but has a big impact is eye health.
The wife of the Governor of DKI assesses that access to health services in Jakarta continues to improve.However, he continued, there are still some people who experience limitations in getting cataract surgery services, especially the elderly.
“In Jakarta, access to health services continues to improve, but there are still residents, especially the elderly, who experience limitations in getting cataract surgery services,” said Hani.
Hani conveyed that this activity was held as a form of support for the community.
“Therefore, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Health Service together with the Central PKK Mobilization Team and the Provincial PKK Mobilization Team, is providing this health service as a support for the community,” he added.
