“I think I’m starting to free myself from all the rules,” Craig said.”I no longer reject things that I might have had a little doubt about before.”
“When the role of Bond was still in my life, the contrast between that role and other roles sometimes felt awkward,” he added as reported

Daniel Craig proved this by playing in the film Queer which was adapted from the novella by William S Burroughs in 1985.
In the film Queer, Craig plays William Lee, a middle-aged American expatriate who is in Mexico City in 1950. He then becomes involved in a romantic relationship with a man who is much younger than him, Eugene Allerton, played by Drew Starkey.
“I’m working harder than ever, but I’m also enjoying it more than ever,” Craig said.”I can do really interesting and different things.”
Daniel Craig last played James Bond in No Time to Die which was released in 2021 after playing the character for 15 years. He also admitted that he had difficulty with the character of James Bond, who is thick with masculinity.
“I would say that one of my biggest objections to playing (Bond) was the construction of masculinity,” said Daniel Craig in an interview with the New Yorker.
“I mean, human vulnerability has always been very interesting to me. We are all vulnerable. It doesn’t matter who you are. No matter how tough you are, everyone is vulnerable. But this is how boys are raised, how men are expected to behave,” he said.
