Meanwhile, Kasubagops Dittipidter Bareskrim Polri Kombes Fredya Trihararbakti revealed that his party found two pieces of evidence while investigating the crime scene (TKP).He said, the investigative team found two excavators which were suspected of being used in prohibited activities.
“We found heavy equipment, one bulldozer and two excavators. Now investigators are investigating the operators, but coincidentally when the equipment was found, the operators were not there,” he said.
Fredya revealed that the investigative team also found traces of landslides that did not occur naturally, but were intentional. He said this showed that there was land expansion activity at that location.
“Well, at KM 6 here you can see there are land openings and there are landslides due to land openings and river flows formed because of the strong river flow towards the Garoga river,” he said.
“(Then there is also) the estuary, this estuary is the center of the new river flow originating from the mine openings, land openings from KM 8 and KM 6. Later it empties into the estuary there,” he continued.
According to him, a lot of wood waste was found which was thought to be the result of opening mines or illegal logging.
“Well, this is KM 8, there is a river flowing. We can see this river flowing, which is carrying wood waste, the results of mine openings or illegal logging activities with a modus operandi which, sorry, we may not be able to convey because it is still under investigation,” he said.
Currently, the National Police Criminal Investigation Directorate is still continuing the investigation process.Including, carrying out examinations with experts to strengthen the findings of evidence in the field.
