“The role of suspect NH, a resident of Sukoharjo, was revealed to have been active as an intermediary for illegal adoptions since May 2025 via social media Facebook and Instagram,” Djuhandhani told reporters, Makassar, Wednesday (19/11).
He explained that from the results of officers’ investigations and investigations, in August 2025 alone, NH had twice acted as an intermediary for the adoption of babies from birth mothers in Jakarta to suspect MA, with compensation of IDR 1 million and IDR 1.3 million respectively.

“Meanwhile, MA, a resident of Jambi, acted as a buyer and reseller of the babies to a group in the Jambi area through a woman with the initials LL,” he said.
From the results of the investigation, said the two-star general, MA was recorded as carrying out at least seven baby buying and selling transactions between August and September 2025.
“MA bought babies from biological mothers for IDR 16 million to IDR 22 million, then resold them for IDR 26 million to IDR 28 million,” he said.

“So far, a total of nine children have become victims of this network,” he said.
