Governor of Bank Indonesia (
BI
) Perry Warjiyo confirmed his support for the government’s downstream and industrialization programs.He conveyed this at the Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting (PTBI) at the BI Head Office Complex, Jakarta, Friday (28/11).
“Bank Indonesia will continue to support financing for downstream and industrialization programs,” said Perry.

Perry said the downstream and industrialization program requires large financing, some of which comes from Danantara, the private sector, banking and the capital market.Another part is said to be from the APBN but with a fiscal deficit limit.
Not only that, we need a business model that is commercially profitable in terms of law and policy, project feasibility, technology and human resources (HR).
Because of this, BI is said to be supporting downstream and industrialization programs.
“Downstreaming and industrialization in Asta Cita will encourage job creation growth,” said Perry.
Perry said downstreaming and industrialization were important areas in the synergy of national economic policy.He detailed five important areas of economic policy synergy.
First, strengthen stability and stimulate demand.Second, downstreaming, industrialization and people’s economy.Third, improve financing and financial markets.
“Fourth, acceleration of the national digital economy. And fifth, international investment and trade cooperation,” he said.
“In the future, let us further strengthen synergy and transform the national economic structure to encourage higher and more resilient growth,” said Perry.
