National Nutrition Agency (
BGN
) appealed to the Nutrition Services Fulfillment Unit (
SPPG
) do not use processed food from large factories as a Free Nutritious Meal menu (
MBG
), but also involves small businesses.
Deputy Head of BGN Nanik Sudaryati Deyang said the appeal was in accordance with Article 38 paragraph (1) of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 115 of 2025 concerning Management of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), which regulates MBG kitchens to prioritize the use of domestic products and the involvement of MSMEs, individual companies, cooperatives, the Red and White Village Cooperative and BUMDes.
“Don’t use biscuits or bread from big companies anymore. All food must be produced by residents around the kitchen, whether MSMEs or PKK women,” said Nanik at the Socialization and Strengthening of Free Nutritious Meal Governance and Supervision and Monitoring of SPPG in Probolinggo City, East Java, Friday (12/12).

He then gave an example of good cooperation in Depok, West Java, between the MBG kitchen and the local community. There, bread is made by mothers and parents of school students.Parents also make homemade meatballs, homemade nuggets, homemade rolls, and so on.
Nanik explained that everyone must have a Home Industry Food Production Permit (PIRT), which is a distribution permit for processed food or drink products produced by home industries or MSMEs.PIRT applies to food and beverage products with low to medium risk.
This PIRT is issued by the District/City Health Service on the recommendation of the One Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service (DPMPTSP).Therefore, Nanik asked the Probolinggo City Government to make it easier to process PIRT permits.
“Please Mr. Mayor, Madam Wawali, Health Department, make PIRT permits easier for small businesses so that they can supply SPPG kitchens,” he said.
