Bene Dion
preparing a new project after starring in Agak Laen 2. The comedian and director is preparing a Batak musical film entitled Pulang Kampung which will later be produced with Imajinari.
Bene Dion will serve as writer and director of the film.Pulang Kampung is scheduled to be broadcast next year, there is no further information regarding the musical film.

“Batak Musical Film written and directed by the most melodious and flexible @bene_dion. This film is planned to be released in 2026,” read Imaginari’s announcement on Monday (1/12).
Bene Dion previously served as director and writer in the film Ghost Writer (2019), which was his directorial debut.
However, he has actually been a scriptwriter for a long time since 2016 for the film Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss!Part 1 with Arie Kriting, Awwe, and Anggy Umbara, then Stip & Pencil (2017).

In recent years, Bene Dion has also written and directed the films Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap (2002) and Ganjil Genap (2023), including the series Cek Toko Sebelah the Series: Ada Lawan Baru (2022).
Bene Dion, thanks to Horrifying Sedap, won the 2023 Maya Cup for Selected Directing and Selected Original Screenwriting.
In 2025, Bene Dion became co-executive producer for Staying Dead and wrote the script for Yakin Nikah with Sigit Sulistyo and Erwin Wu.
Bene Dion was initially known through his participation in the third season of Kompas TV’s Stand Up Comedy Indonesia (SUCI) in 2013. However, he began to actively open the loudspeaker since 2011 when he joined the Stand Up Indo community in Yogyakarta.
A graduate of Industrial Engineering at Gadjah Mada University who graduated in 2014, he is characterized by straightforward humorous material about his ethnicity with a firm speaking style.
