Head of Basarnas Banda Aceh Ibnu Harris Al Hussain said the search operation had been transferred to a monitoring operation because in the last few days no victims of the disaster had been found.

Ibnu said that the operation to disburse victims of the flood disaster in Aceh had been going on for 31 days.Today the search operation ended.
According to him, up to now there are still 31 people who have been declared missing.With a month to go since the disaster, it is unlikely that the missing victims survived.
“The maximum time a person can survive in a disaster is seven days. Now it is 31 days after the disaster, so it is unlikely that those who were declared missing will survive,” he said.
Even though the search was immediately stopped, he said, the operation was still ongoing.The operation is carried out by monitoring and if a victim is found, the SAR team immediately goes to the field.
“We also urge the public if they find victims to immediately report them for the evacuation process. Currently the SAR team remains alert and continues to monitor the disaster location,” said Ibnu.
Based on data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) as of Thursday (25/12), the number of victims who died from the flood disaster in Aceh reached 503 people and 31 people were declared missing.
