“The perpetrator was arrested with the initials (FH) 22, a resident who lives not far from the location of the incident at the Ujung Tanah Makassar Damkar Carester Command Post,” said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ujung Tanah Police, Iptu Tumijan, Sunday (16/11).

Tumijan explained that an investigation was carried out immediately after the video of the theft went viral, although to date no official police report (LP) has been made.
After being arrested, Tumijan said the perpetrator admitted his actions because he needed money to be able to play online gambling.
“The motive was, he wanted to buy chips to use for online gambling. He was addicted to online gambling,” he said.
According to Tumijan, the suspect had stolen fuel from fire trucks several times.The alleged perpetrator was also imprisoned in a cellphone theft case.
“From the results of the interrogation, he had just come out of detention, (the previous case was) cell phone theft,” he concluded.
Currently, Tumijan said the perpetrator has been arrested and is undergoing further examination.
