According to Anang, this incident is interpreted as an important momentum for the Attorney General’s Office to continue to carry out internal improvements, strengthen the monitoring system, and increase public confidence in fair law enforcement.
Anang said that the case of the former Head of the Enrekang District Prosecutor’s Office (Kajari) Enrekang, who now serves as Kajari of Central Bangka, Padeli and SL (private sector) regarding the alleged crime of receiving Rp. 840 million in the handling of the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) case, has been handed over to the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).
“The handling of the case of the former Kajari Enrekang was carried out in stages and professionally, starting through an intelligence mechanism, then handed over to the supervision sector, and then followed up to Jampidsus for the criminal process in accordance with applicable legal provisions,” said Anang
Anang also explained that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had handed over the Head of Civil and State Administration Section of the North Hulu Sungai District Prosecutor’s Office, Tri Taruna Fariadi to the Attorney General’s Office.
The prosecutor’s handover was related to alleged criminal acts of extortion corruption in the law enforcement process at the North Hulu Sungai District Prosecutor’s Office.
The handover was carried out by the Team from the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (JAM INTEL) at the Attorney General’s Office together with the Intelligence Team from the South Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office and the Jakarta Special Regional High Prosecutor’s Office to the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) Investigation Team for the purposes of further investigation.
“This handover is a form of the Attorney General’s cooperative and transparent attitude, as well as a concrete manifestation of the institution’s commitment to supporting law enforcement measures. This handover is also part of internal clean-up efforts to maintain the dignity and integrity of the Adhyaksa Corps,” said Anang.
