He is suspected of being involved in the case of selling aluminum alloy by PT Inalum to PT Prima Alloy Steel Universal (PASU).

“Today the investigative team has again named a new suspect with the initials OAK as the Managing Director of PT Inalum for the 2019-2021 term,” said Acting Head of the North Sumatra Prosecutor’s Office, Indra Ahmadi Hasibuan, Medan, Monday (22/12).
Indra said that suspect OAK, together with suspects DS and JS (who had previously been detained), were suspected of having jointly and maliciously changed the payment scheme which previously had to be agreed upon.

“Then followed by a tenor of 180 days, so that PT PASU does not make payments for the aluminum alloy that has been sent by PT Inalum,” he said.
According to him, the actions of the suspects resulted in state losses to PT Inalum which were estimated at US$8 million (if converted it was estimated at Rp. 133.49 billion).
“After a medical examination of the suspect and to prevent the suspect from repeating his actions, destroying evidence or running away, special criminal investigators detained the suspect,” said Indra Ahmadi.
For his actions, the suspect was charged under Article 2 paragraph (1) subsidiary Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
“The suspect was detained for 20 days at the class IA Tanjung Gusta Detention Center in Medan. The investigative team continues to work to carry out investigations and if it is found that there is involvement of other people or parties, appropriate legal action will be taken,” said Indra Ahmadi.
In this case, investigators had previously detained two other suspects, namely DS as SEVP (Senior Executive Vice President) of PT Inalum Business Development in 2019, and JS as Head of the Sales and Marketing Department of PT Inalum in 2019.
