Malaysia failed to reach the final of the 2025 SEA Games after losing 0-1 to Thailand in the semifinal match which took place at Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok, on Monday (15/12).
The only goal that sent Thailand to the final was scored by Yotsakorn Burapha in the eighth minute.

Conceding quickly in the early minutes meant that Malaysia inevitably had to play more openly and work hard to catch up.
However, Malaysia’s efforts became increasingly difficult after they lost one player in the 16th minute.
Malaysia had bad luck after Aiman Yusuf was given a second yellow card which resulted in a red card.Aiman Yusuf was sent off by the referee after attracting Thai player Iklas Sanron in a counterattack situation.
