The extension is based on the situation in a number of areas which still require quick handling, both logistics distribution and other basic rights.

“The disaster emergency response status has been extended for the next 14 days from December 26 2025 to January 8 2026,” said Aceh Government Spokesperson, Muhammad MTA, Thursday (25/12).
Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf alias Mualem, said Muhammad MTA, also instructed the Aceh Apparatus Work Unit (SKPA) to speed up logistics distribution to isolated communities.
Then to provide health services for affected residents and function all health service facilities starting from the Community Health Center.
Mualem also instructed that disaster survivor children be given school supplies so they can participate in the learning process.
“In this second extension of emergency response, all SKPAs are required to carry out their main duties and functions well and be focused and massive in carrying out emergency response handling activities,” he said.
From data from the Aceh disaster emergency response post updated Thursday (25/12) at 20:45 WIB, the number of victims who died reached 504 people and 31 were declared missing.
Then 343,387 people were still displaced in 2,174 refugee camps.Then 133,534 housing units were damaged and 492 public facilities were damaged, bridges were damaged, 1098 roads were damaged, 600 schools were damaged and 232 office units were damaged.
