Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has ordered all levels to quickly deal with disasters

and landslides that hit a number of areas in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.

“We have dispatched three Hercules C130 aircraft and one A400 aircraft. For the umpteenth time we are sending aid. The government is moving quickly, from the first days it has reacted, has sent aid, by land and air, and continuously we are supporting their needs in the field,” said Prabowo in a post on Instagram on Saturday (29/11).
The uploaded video also shows public kitchen tents and SPPG posts in a number of areas which have been used to meet the food needs of affected residents.Among others, SPPG Daulat Lae-Langge, SPPG u Turi Binjai Utara, and SPPG Subulussalam.
The voices of children who were disaster victims were also heard expressing their thanks to Prabowo for the government’s assistance and response in dealing with the disaster that occurred.
“Thank you Mr Prabowo,” they shouted amidst the floodwaters.
Not only that, the government has also deployed various land, sea and air fleets to ensure that aid reaches all affected areas quickly and evenly.
Apart from the Hercules C-130 and A400 transport aircraft, the emergency aid sent included rubber boats for evacuation, refugee tents, generator sets as an emergency power source, and communication equipment in the field.
Furthermore, Prabowo also expressed his deep condolences to all victims and families affected by natural disasters in Sumatra.
In the midst of extreme weather and difficult terrain, the government continues to work and work together to restore people’s lives and normalize the affected areas.
“Let us always unite and work together, pray and help our brothers and sisters who are affected by the disaster. Hopefully we can get through this difficult time soon,” he said.

Flash floods and landslides have occurred in dozens of districts and cities in three provinces on the island of Sumatra, namely North Sumatra, Aceh and West Sumatra in the last few days.
The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded that the total number of victims who died as a result of flash floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra reached 303 people as of Saturday (29/11) afternoon.
Head of BNPB Suharyanto said that most of the fatalities came from North Sumatra (North Sumatra) with 166 fatalities.
“I will describe from North Sumatra, yesterday’s death toll was 116, now there are 166 people who have died. Then 143 people are still missing,” said Suharyanto.
