temporarily divert distribution of free nutritious meal packages (
MBG
) to flood and landslide victims.
It was recorded that 52 Aceh SPPGs had distributed 185,049 MBG packages to disaster victims as of Saturday (29/11) at 12.35 WIB.
“From the 11 districts/cities affected by the flood, there are 52 operational SPPGs. The total number of MBG packages distributed on November 26, 27 and 28 to flood victims was 185,049 thousand MBG packages,” said the Regional Head of the Aceh National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Mustafa Kamal, in an official statement, Saturday (29/11).

If detailed, the distribution of MBG packages in the Aceh region includes Pidie Regency as many as 3,202 packages;Central Aceh Regency (772 packages);Bireun Regency (101,817);North Aceh Regency (7,949 packages);Lhokseumawe Regency (7,700 packages);and Subulussalam (8,115 packages).
Currently, continued Mustafa, there are still a number of areas in Aceh where MBG package aid cannot be distributed because the network is still down.
The area includes Pidie Jaya Regency;East Aceh Regency;Langsa Regency;Aceh Tamiang Regency;Southeast Aceh Regency;and Bener Meriah Regency.
BGN temporarily transferred the function of MBG kitchens to disaster-affected areas in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.This transfer of function was carried out because the schools receiving MBG benefits were closed due to being affected by floods and landslides.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto himself has instructed his staff to speed up recovery from the first day the disaster occurred in the Sumatra region.
Prabowo also advised to ensure that all victims can be handled properly.
