Asian currencies vary.The Philippine peso rose 0.19 percent, the Japanese yen fell 0.03 percent, the South Korean won minus 0.63 percent, the Thai baht rose 0.18 percent, and the Malaysian ringgit rose 0.02 percent.
Likewise, the main currencies of developed countries varied.The European euro was minus 0.10 percent, the Swiss franc fell 0.11 percent, the Australian dollar rose 0.09 percent, and the Canadian dollar fell 0.04 percent.
Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong said the rupiah weakened against the US dollar amid cautious investors anticipating the release of Indonesian inflation and trade data next week.
