National Disaster Management Agency (
BNPB
) records the loss of life due to disasters
flood
and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, reaching 72 people.
Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, said that in North Sumatra a total of 57 people had died and 41 people were still being searched for.
“In total, in North Sumatra, 34 people died in Central Tapanuli, 13 in South Tapanuli, 1 in Pakpak, 5 in North Tapanuli and 4 in Humbang Hasundutan,” Abdul told reporters, Friday (28/11).

Casualties were also reported in West Sumatra.Based on data sent by the Deputy Governor of West Sumatra on Thursday (27/11) afternoon, said Abdul, four people died in Padang City and five people died in Padang Pariaman Regency.
Meanwhile, the fatalities in Aceh were in two districts, namely Bener Meriah and Gayo Luwes.Abdul said that a total of six people died in Aceh due to floods and landslides.
“So for Aceh Province, a total of six people died and 11 other victims are still missing,” explained Abdul.
