officially fired coach Mario Lemos after a series of poor results for the team which suffered seven consecutive defeats in the 2025/2026 Super League.
This decision was taken carefully after going through a series of discussions regarding the club’s long-term development direction.
“We thank Coach Mario for his energy and leadership while managing Persijap Jepara,” read the club’s official statement.

“We part with great respect and wish him success in his next journey.”
Apart from that, the club also informed that Paulo Ramos Fereira, who had been acting as a physical trainer, had also ended his term of office.
Management appreciates the contribution and dedication that Paulo has given while accompanying the team in the training and player development process.
“We also express our gratitude to Coach Paulo for his dedication while being part of Persijap’s coaching structure,” added the management.
“Hopefully his next career journey will run smoothly.”
Persijap will soon announce further steps regarding the coaching structure.In preparation for the next match, Danang Suryadi was appointed as caretaker to coach Persijap.
Persijap is now in 16th position in the 2025/2026 Super League standings or relegation zone.Laskar Kalinyamat has only collected eight points from 12 matches.
