“What we have found in the meantime is that there was bribery carried out by people from Sungai Budi to Inhutani. Until now, it was from the management of PT Sungai Budi to Inhutani,” said Asep at the KPK’s Red and White Building, Friday (21/11).
Asep emphasized that the KPK would still dig deeper into these allegations.Currently, he said, case handling is still focused on allegations of direct bribery between private parties and state officials.
“Of course, along the way, if we find sufficient evidence that this was done by a corporation, then we have to assess whether the corporation was actually established to commit criminal acts of corruption,” he said.
“What is clear is that what we are dealing with is person to person. People bribe state administrators, the private sector bribes state administrators,” added Asep.
Previously, the KPK arrested nine people in an OTT held in mid-August.Three of them were named suspects after sufficient initial evidence was found.
They are the Main Director of PT Industri Hutan V or Inhutani V Dicky Yuana Rady, the Director of PT PML Djunaidi, and Aditya Simaputra as the Sungai Budi Group licensing staff.
During the OTT, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated evidence in the form of Sin$189,000 in cash or around Rp. 2.4 billion (current exchange rate), Rp. 8.5 million in rupiah, as well as a Rubicon car and a Pajero belonging to Dicky.
This case has now entered the trial stage. The KPK Public Prosecutor (JPU) accused Djunaidi Nur, Director of PT PML, of bribing the Managing Director of Inhutani V, Dicky Yuana Rady.
The prosecutor said that Djunaidi and his assistant, Aditya, gave bribes amounting to Sin$10,000 and Sin$189,000.With an exchange rate of around IDR 12,864, the total bribe is estimated at IDR 2.55 billion.
“Djunaidi Nur together with Aditya Simaputra (charged in a separate file) as participating parties, have committed several acts which must be considered independent and therefore constitute several crimes, namely giving or promising something in the form of Sin$10,000 and Sin$189,000 to a state administrator, namely Dicky Yuana Rady,” said KPK Prosecutor Tony F. Pangaribuan in a hearing at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (11/11).
