revealed a photo of a man suspected of being the perpetrator of the car explosion incident in the capital New Delhi on Monday (10/11).

on Tuesday (11/11), a portrait of a man wearing glasses with a bushy beard was said to be the driver of the Hyundai i20 car that exploded.The man was identified as Umar Mohammad.

According to NDTV, Mohammad was born in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir region.He is a doctor at Al Falah Medical College located in Faridabad City, Haryana state.
Authorities suspect Mohammad is an associate of Dr Adeel Amad Rather and Dr Mujammil Shakil who were arrested a few days earlier by the Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana police.
The two doctors were arrested in connection with possession of 2,900 kilograms of bomb-making materials found in Faridabad.Sources said the two doctors had been in close contact with a number of people in Kashmir.
According to the investigating team, Mohammad fled Faridabad after learning that his colleagues were arrested and thousands of kilograms of their explosives were being held by the police.
Sources said Mohammad “panicked” and decided to detonate the bomb himself.
“Umar Mohammad and his colleagues used Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil (ANFO) to carry out the attack. They placed a detonator in the car and launched the terror attack in a crowded area near Red Fort,” said a number of sources.
A car exploded near the Red Fort in New Delhi on Monday (10/11) afternoon.A total of 13 people died and more than 30 people were injured in this incident.
The explosion occurred at the metro station serving Red Fort.Red Fort is one of the most visited historical sites in New Delhi.
Red Fort is currently closed for three days following the explosion.The closure was carried out to disperse the crowd to facilitate investigations.
