The film, entitled King of Pop in the Michael Biopic, is scheduled to be shown in cinemas on April 24 2026. This big project will also be Jaafar’s debut moment in the world of acting, after previously being known as a singer.
Who is Jaafar Jackson?
Jaafar Jackson is the son of Jermaine Jackson, one of Michael Jackson’s siblings, from his marriage to Genevieve Oaziaza (1995-2003).Jaafar himself was born in July 1996.

Growing up in a family environment steeped in the world of art, Jaafar decided to follow in his family’s footsteps by pursuing a career in the world of singing.
He started his career as a singer at the age of 12.In 2019, he released his first single entitled “Got Me Singing” complete with a music video.
Jaafar’s choice for the iconic role in the King of Pop in the Michael Biopic was not without reason.He was successfully selected after going through a casting process carried out in 2023.
Currently, the film has given a small sneak peak through the release of a few minute long trailer.In the footage, Jaafar looks very flexible in imitating every detail of the King of Pop’s movements.
Jaafar also looked adept at performing Michael Jackson’s legendary dances, including the moonwalk and the iconic “Thriller” choreography.
One of the scenes shown is an emotional moment in the recording studio, where Jaafar (as Michael) is seen with iconic producer Quincy Jones (played by Kendrick Sampson).
The trailer also features an intimate moment when young Michael says, “Can you dim the lights for me? Before [I] start singing.”
Snippets of Michael Jackson’s legendary songs, such as “Thriller” and “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’,” further strengthen the nostalgic atmosphere and distinctive energy that will be presented in this biopic.
