KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said that passenger volume during the Christmas holidays was still showing an upward trend.
“KCIC predicts that the number of passengers today could exceed 24 thousand passengers because there are still many passengers who have just departed today to enjoy the Christmas holiday,” said Eva in an official statement, Thursday (25/12).
As of Thursday (25/12) morning, the number of Whoosh tickets that had been sold was recorded at around 16 thousand tickets and is expected to continue to increase until the last departure at 21.25 WIB.
In terms of occupancy rates, Whoosh occupancy at Halim Station from morning to noon was recorded to have sold above 90 percent, while other scheduled departures were in the range of 70 percent.
KCIC urges the public to purchase tickets in advance online to ensure seat availability according to the desired departure schedule, especially during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.Whoosh tickets can be purchased via the Whoosh Application, website ticket.kcic.co.id, as well as partner applications such as Access by KAI, Livin’ by Mandiri, BRImo, Wondr by BNI, Tiket.com, and Traveloka.
During the Nataru period, passengers’ favorite routes were still dominated by Halim-Padalarang and Halim-Tegalluar.
The majority of passengers who get off at Padalarang Station continue their journey to Bandung using the Feeder Train service which is available free of charge, so that the journey becomes more practical and integrated.
“In the midst of high passenger volumes, we urge the public to always pay attention and look after personal belongings, both in the station area and while on the train, so that travel remains safe and comfortable,” concluded Eva.
