But who would have thought, it turns out that Samuji suddenly came home still in good health.Samuji’s arrival immediately caused a stir among the residents and their families.
Samuji, confused, heard the announcement that he had died.On that basis, Samuji then rushed home while looking for grass in the rice fields.
So whose body is at the Samuji funeral home?
Jatirogo Police Chief, Inspector Arif Nugroho said that the body in Samuji’s house turned out to be Pardi, a resident of his neighboring village.Arif admitted that there were indeed similarities between Pardi and Samuji.
Arif added that the incident where the bodies had their identities changed began when the bodies were discovered that day.At that time, his party received a report of finding a body in the rice field.
Based on this report, his party then went to the location to carry out a crime scene investigation and examine the body. However, when we arrived at the location, it turned out that there were already many residents.
“When we arrived at the crime scene, it turned out that there were already many residents. There was a little debate, some residents explained that they were Jambean Wangi residents, in the name of Samuji, but some residents stated that they were not Samuji,” said Arif, Monday (22/12).
Unfortunately, Arif continued, it turned out that there were some residents who thought the body was Samuji’s and immediately contacted the family. Not only that, news of the death was also immediately broadcast via loudspeaker without further checking the identity of the body.
“The victims have not yet been researched in detail. Some of them immediately contacted Samuji’s family and information about this death was immediately broadcast on the loudspeakers at the local mosque,” said Arif.
Meanwhile, Samuji’s wife, who also received the news, went straight to the location which was only 300 meters from the house and rice fields. There, Samuji’s wife also didn’t have time to check because she kept crying over the body.
“I asked the residents at the crime scene to check again in detail on the victim but no one dared. Even Samuji’s wife came to the rice field and didn’t check whether it was her husband or not because she kept crying,” added Arif.
Because it was believed to be Samuji, the body was then taken to the funeral home. There, apparently many residents had gathered because of the announcement at the mosque.
When he was about to be buried, Samuji suddenly came and made the residents and family excited. From here, it was discovered that the body in the funeral home was actually Pardi.
“Mr. Samuji arrived at his house, Mr. Pardi’s body was still in the house. But not long after, Mr. Pardi’s family came to collect it,” said Arief.
“Indeed, there is a facial similarity and coincidentally the ages are not much different between the late Mr Pardi and Samuji,” he added.
The Pardi family, who came to Samuji’s house to collect the body, finally arrived and they were taken back to the funeral home using an ambulance which was about 3 km from the scene.
“This happens to be a neighbor of the late Mr Pardi’s village, only about 3 km from the location of the incident. Upon arrival at the funeral home, a post-mortem was carried out with the medical team and it was found from the family that the victim had a history of heart disease,” said Arif.
