The peak traffic flow prediction for the Christmas holiday was compiled from the cumulative figures at four toll gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (towards Merak), GT Ciawi (towards Puncak), and GT Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java) and GT Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung).
Jasa Marga Main Director, Rivan Achmad Purwantono, said that his party ensures the readiness of toll road operation services so that they run optimally.
He said points that are prone to vehicle congestion include the Jagorawi Toll Road, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, and the Cipularang Toll Road which leads to Trans Java and Bandung.
“We will anticipate the potential for congestion on the lanes by placing officers at points prone to congestion,” said Rivan in his official statement.
Jasa Marga also noted that this increase in traffic flow was visible from Thursday (18/12) at 06.00 WIB to Saturday (20/12) at 06.00 WIB.
The total traffic volume leaving the Jabotabek area from the four main toll gates increased by 5.9% compared to normal traffic (312,173 vehicles).
