Indra Sjafri is focused on preparing the team to beat Myanmar in the final Group C match

The Indonesian national team surprisingly lost to the Philippines 0-1 in the 2025 SEA Games Group C match. The Philippines’ only goal was scored by Ato Banatao in first half injury time.
This result made the Philippines qualify for the semifinals as winners of Group C with six points.Meanwhile, Indonesia has to fight via the best runner up route.

Apart from having to win a landslide victory against Myanmar, Indonesia also depends on the results of Vietnam vs Malaysia, who both have three points in Group C.
After losing to the Philippines, Indra Sjafri immediately focused on the match against Myanmar.The Garuda Muda squad has three days to prepare thoroughly.
“What is clear is that starting tomorrow we will start a preparation program against Myanmar. We certainly hope that there will be something good for us to be able to get through this group phase. Tomorrow we will recover after that we will make preparations. Yes, there is still time against Myanmar,” said Indra Sjafri at the press conference session.
The coach who successfully brought Indonesia to the 2023 SEA Games championship did not want to respond to the chances of the Vietnam vs Malaysia match outcome.
“I might be more focused on how to win the match against Myanmar. Because winning is important, so whether the result is Vietnam versus Malaysia, we can’t control that. What’s important is how we can prepare the team so that we can win against Myanmar later,” said Indra.
Vietnam and Malaysia will compete first at Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok, Thursday (11/12).Meanwhile, Indonesia will only meet Myanmar in Chiang Mai on Friday (12/12).
