The Indonesian badminton team is heading
SEA Games 2025
in Thailand in combat ready condition.
Laskar Cipayung flew to Bangkok via Soekarno-Hatta international airport on Friday (5/12) morning using Garuda Indonesia flight number GA866.
Head of National Training Development and Achievement Division, Eng Hian, stated that Alwi Farhan and his friends were fit and ready to fight.

“Today we will fly to Thailand, the condition of the Indonesian badminton team is ready to fight, healthy and fit,” said Didi, Eng Hian’s nickname, in an official PBSI statement received by hitclubapk3Indonesia.
“We ask for prayers and support from all Indonesian people so that we can carry out this mission well and contribute maximum achievements to Merah-Putih,” continued Didi.
Didi also did not question the team’s departure which was close to the match start schedule, namely H-2.According to him, the provisions prepared in Indonesia are complete enough to face the competition for the Southeast Asian Games.
“We have prepared these athletes quite well and completely. Apart from technique and physicality, we also held sessions with psychologists to further strengthen the children’s determination and goals,” said Didi.
“Because this is a multi-event event and there are several athletes who are taking part for the first time, they will definitely feel a different atmosphere. The discussion program with psychologists, hopefully the athletes will be stronger in uniting their hearts, determination and goals,” hoped Didi.
Meanwhile, men’s doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana admitted that they wanted to increase their SEA Games medal tally.Leo, who already has an individual gold medal, wants to complete it with team gold, while Bagas wants to win individual gold.
“Our preparations are quite good, we are ready to compete. We also want to upgrade the medals we have won previously,” said Bagas.
“We ask for support so that we can provide the best for Indonesia. We are targeting gold in team and individual events,” said Leo.
The SEA Games badminton branch was held at Gymnasiums 4 Thammasat University Rangsit Campus, Pathum Thani on 6-10 December for teams and 11-14 December for individuals.
