In the video, one of the men shows his annoyance. The condition of the people in the area has been without food for several days, but the aid received cannot be used.
He hopes that further aid can be distributed in a safer way so that it remains suitable for consumption and really helps the condition of those affected by the disaster.

There’s no benefit, sir, pay attention to this. This was given from above. Why distribute aid to us if it is of no use. Please, sir, pay attention to Batang Purba Village, Parmonangan District.Given to us, it doesn’t work, it can’t be eaten.Give us the help we deserve that we can eat. We’re already starving

North Sumatra Provincial Government opens its voice
The Daily Chair of the North Sumatra Provincial Government Disaster Emergency Post, Basarin Yunus Tanjung, explained that the air delivery method was used because land access to a number of areas was still cut off.
“We should also be able to understand which SOPs are normal, which are emergency SOPs. We understand together how anxious people are in remote areas that cannot be accessed, one way to overcome this is of course by air. By air, not everyone can land a helicopter. Not all areas have helipads,” he said.
Basarin acknowledged the possibility of damage to some of the aid dropped from the helicopter. However, in the future the distribution of aid to affected communities will be evaluated.
“So one way to distribute this food is by dropping it from a helicopter in the hope that it can be accessed by the community after it reaches the ground. However, one or two may be damaged. We will repair this later in the future. But our intention is how the community can access this aid so that there is no worry in the community,” he concluded.
