Persebaya is not the only one dismantling a central figure in the coaching chair.Before that, other Super League participants also dropped their old names and then came up with new names.

Persebaya Surabaya
Persebaya officially announced Bernardo Tavares as the new coach ahead of the second round of the 2025/2026 Super League.It is hoped that his experience in bringing PSM Makassar to the League 1 championship can boost Bajul Ijo, which is currently inconsistent.

Laskar Kabau Sirah wants to escape from the red zone.Now they have 10 points from 14 match weeks so they are ranked 16th.
Hopes of getting out of the brink of relegation emerged after announcing Dejan Antonic as coach.The 1-0 victory over Persija Jakarta on Monday (22/12) opened up hopes of staying in the Super League.
PSM Makassar
Bernardo Tavares’ sweet story with PSM Makassar ended on October 1.The coach who won the 2022/2023 League 1 title left because of the club’s finances.
Apart from that, PSM Makassar is also having difficulty competing at the top of the 2025/2026 Super League standings.They struggled in the top ten before climbing slowly to a higher position.
Juku Eja’s troops then recruited a coach from the Czech Republic, Tomas Trucha.The update leaves PSM in sixth place in the current standings.

Persis Solo’s move to complete Ong Kim Swee’s task by recruiting Peter de Roo in the 2025/2026 Super League did not improve the situation.The club decided to part ways with the Dutch coach because of disappointing results.

Madura United

Madura United management released Alfredo Vera’s position as coach but moved him to technical director.Now Laskar Sapeh Kerrab is handled by Carlos Parreira.
But Madura United has not gone uphill.Only one win from the last five matches leaves them in 13th place.
Persijap Jepara
