free from the copyright lawsuit for the song Nuansa Bening filed by the songwriter, Keenan Nasution and Rudi Pekerti.The judge decided that the lawsuit against Vidi Aldiano could not be accepted.
The Central Jakarta Commercial Court’s decision regarding the alleged use and distribution of the song Nuansa Bening means that Vidi is free from the threat of compensation costs worth IDR 28.4 billion.

Based on the Central Jakarta District Court’s SIPP, three copyright lawsuits addressed to the singer whose full name was Oxavia Aldiano were declared unacceptable by the panel of judges, which was read out on Wednesday (19/11).
“The main point of the case is to declare that the Plaintiff’s claim cannot be accepted,” reads the ruling seen from the Central Jakarta District Court’s Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) which was accessed on Friday (21/11).
The three lawsuits referred to refer to case number 51/Pdt.Sus-HKI/Cipta/2025/PN Niaga Jkt.Pst on May 21 2025 which accuses Vidi of performing the song in 31 performances without the creator’s consent.

At that time, Keenan and Rudi as plaintiffs demanded from Vidi compensation of IDR 24.5 billion as well as the confiscation of their house in South Jakarta as collateral.
The second lawsuit was filed on June 30 2025 and was registered with case number 73/Pdt.Sus-HKI/Cipta/2025/PN Niaga Jkt.Pst on charges of violating copyright for distributing Nuansa Bening on the digital platforms Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube Music.
In the petitum, they demanded that Vidi pay compensation of IDR 3 billion, in addition to the forced payment of IDR 1 million for every day of delay since the decision had permanent legal force.
Three days later, on July 3 2025, Keenan and Rudi filed a third lawsuit with case number No.74/Pdt.Sus-HKI/Cipta/2025/PN Niaga Jkt.Pst regarding the alleged change of creator’s name in song metadata on digital platforms and compensation of IDR 900 million.
In the trial which took place on Wednesday (19/11), the panel of judges accepted the exception from Vidi as Defendant and Co-Defendant.
“In the main case, the Plaintiffs’ lawsuit cannot be accepted,” said the ruling for the three lawsuits of Keenan and Rudi Pekerti.
In addition, the panel of judges sentenced the Plaintiff to pay court costs totaling IDR 2.44 million, with details of IDR 792 thousand for the case on July 3 2025, IDR 708 thousand for the case on June 30 2025, and IDR 940 thousand for the case on May 21 2025.
