A 10 year old child died after
hit by a train
in Cakung, East Jakarta on Tuesday (16/12) afternoon.
“It’s true, the victim is 10 years old, still in elementary school,” said Cakung Police Chief Commissioner Widodo Saputro when confirmed.

Based on the driver’s statement, said Widodo, before the incident the victim was seen playing around the train tracks alone.
“From the driver’s statement, he was playing on the tracks (the victim). He saw him playing on the tracks alone,” he said.
Widodo said that after the incident the driver immediately reported the incident to the station.The victim’s body was then taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for an autopsy.
“(The body) will be carried out for an autopsy at Kramat Jati Hospital,” he said.
Footage of this incident also circulated on social media, one of which was uploaded to the Instagram account @warungjurnalis.In the video, it can be seen that the victim’s body has been evacuated and a number of residents are seen at the location.
Still in the video, a woman who is thought to be the victim’s mother looks hysterical when she sees her child’s body.
“An elementary school student died when he was hit by a long-distance train at the Gusti Ngurah Rai crossing, Pulegebang, Cakung, East Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon (16/12/2025),” said the statement in the upload.
