The meeting was suspended because none of the invited ministers attended in person.
“Yes, (it was supposed to be) the NK (commodity balance sheet) meeting, but none of the ministers came, so I suspended them. Nobody came,” said Zulhas when he was met after leaving the meeting room at around 14.33 WIB at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Central Jakarta.

The meeting was actually scheduled to take place at the Coordinating Ministry for Food with the main agenda being the determination of the 2026 Food Commodity Balance.
According to the official invitation, the meeting was chaired directly by Coordinating Minister for Food Zulhas and invited seven high-ranking state officials, namely Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, Minister of Agriculture/Head of Bapanas Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, and Head of the National Single Window Institute Oza Olavia.
However, more than half an hour after the schedule started, not a single minister was seen present in the meeting room.Minister KP Trenggono only arrived when the meeting time had passed more than half an hour.
Meanwhile, other ministers were not present at all until the meeting finally decided to suspend them.

A number of officials who were seen attending included BPS Boss Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Suwandi, Main Secretary of Bapanas Sarwo Edhy, and Director General of Agro Industry of the Ministry of Industry Putu Juli Ardika.
Zulhas then explained the reasons for the absence of the ministers who were invited to the meeting.
“The Minister of Agriculture is in Papua. (The Minister of) Industry is said to be abroad. The Minister of Maritime Affairs has just arrived. The Minister of Trade is (dealing with) disaster matters. So I ask that echelon I meet again to agree on what is needed and when the minister can come. Isn’t that right?”he said.
“So not yet, (the meeting) has been suspended until they can decide on another meeting,” added Zulhas.
Under these conditions, the determination of the Food Commodity Balance Sheet for 2026 cannot yet be decided.The government will wait for the readiness of the ministers to schedule a follow-up coordination meeting so that commodity balance discussions can be carried out in full at the policy-making level.
