The pencak silat sport branch adds to Indonesia’s gold medal coffers in
SEA Games 2025
, Wednesday (17/12).Indonesia has now collected 64 gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games.
Indonesia’s 64th gold medal was donated by Muhammad Zaki Zikrillah from the men’s 55-60kg C class.In the final duel at IMPACT Arena Muang Thong, Zaki was declared a WO (walkover) winner over Thai fighter Janjaroen Tinnapat.
Zaki’s gold medal was the second for the Indonesian contingent on the eighth day of the 2025 SEA Games. Previously, the rowing pair Rendi Setia Maulana/Memo won the 63rd gold medal in the men’s double sculls event.

With the addition of these two gold medals, the Red and White Team is now firmly in second place in the 2025 SEA Games medal standings with 64 gold medals.
This achievement brings Indonesia closer to its target of winning 80 gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games to occupy the top three positions.
Even so, Menpora Erick Thohir is starting to look at the top two in the 2025 SEA Games medal standings. Indonesia’s positive trend in winning gold medals has increased Erick Thohir’s confidence in looking at the top two or moving up the rankings from his previous target of being in the top three.
