Daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid alias
Gus Dur
namely Yenny Wahid criticized management
mine
through community organizations (mass organizations) because it will only cause major harm.
“Now it is clear that before our eyes there is a big disadvantage, namely the disadvantage of division. This must be our main priority. I support the call of Kiai Said (former General Chairman of PBNU Said Aqil Siroj) who said that perhaps it would be better if the mines were given back to the government,” said Yenny during Gus Dur’s 16th haul at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, quoting

Yenny explained that during the meeting Luhut admitted that he did not agree with community organizations (ormas) being given mines. From the start, Luhut didn’t want to sign, because managing the mine was difficult.
This is also as the Chinese say, that the person who manages the mine must have cold hands, otherwise it will definitely cause division.
He is concerned about NU’s current condition. In the past, when it was established, it was a rope that tied everyone together, but now it has become something that threatens the leaders. So this should be material for collective reflection.
Furthermore, he made a moral appeal for NU to distance itself from harm.If the government wants to contribute, it is recommended that it be in the form of money (budget) which can be used to build schools, build Islamic boarding schools, houses, which are considered more useful.
“But if it’s like this (mine management) the harm is much greater,” he said.
Yenny also remembered that NU founder Hasyim Asy’ari had said from the start that the NU organization was founded based on the spirit of unity, the spirit of mahabbah (love) for one another, to continue to spread the teachings of Aswaja Islam (Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah).
He also apologized if anyone was offended by his statement. However, this was because there was a feeling of anxiety that he wanted to express regarding the current condition of NU.
Moreover, Luhut also explained that there were ministers who insisted on providing the mines. From the information he obtained, the minister gave mining permits to religious organizations affiliated with his party.
“There are journalist friends who say that the minister gave mining permits to religious organizations affiliated with his party. This means that NU is only being used as a means of legitimation. That’s what I think we have to pay attention to,” he said.
He emphasized that NU should not fall into such a trap, because it would only be detrimental.
“NU should not fall into this kind of trap. NU is big. It is our job to all protect it, so that we can protect Indonesia and protect the world,” said Yenny.
