Indonesian U-16 National Futsal Team coach, Reka Cahya Punthoadi, assessed that the team lacked focus when they were matched by Vietnam in the 2025 AFF Futsal U-16 Cup.
In the match in Nonthaburi, Thailand, Wednesday (22/12) afternoon, Indonesia U-16 took a 2-0 lead, but it was equalized with 33 seconds remaining in the match.

According to Reka, losing focus towards the end of the match should not happen again. For him, this is a valuable lesson that players can learn so that it doesn’t happen again.
“We have to focus for 2×20 minutes. Just one, two or three seconds has a huge effect in a tournament like this. I hope the players in the future will focus from the 0th minute to the last 40 minutes.”
“It is also my job to remind my colleagues to be much more focused and concentrated from the start to the last minute,” he said, according to an official FFI release.
Next, Indonesia U-16 will face Brunei Darussalam. This match will take place at the same location on Thursday (25/12) afternoon.
Before meeting Indonesia, Brunei lost 0-20 to Thailand.Because of this, there is the potential for Indonesia U-16 to also win big. However, players are asked not to underestimate their opponents.
