Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team
, Luis Estrela, said it was extraordinary that his team could beat Thailand, which is a world-class team at home in the 2025 SEA Games semifinals, Tuesday (16/12).
The Indonesian Women’s Futsal National Team won dramatically on penalties with a score of 7-6 over Thailand in the semifinals of the 2025 SEA Games at Bangkokthonburi University Gymnasium, Tuesday (6/12).
Ikeu Rosite and his friends played an attacking game launched by Thailand which forced the match to end 4-4 in normal time.

After two rounds of extra time without a winner, the Indonesia vs Thailand match continued to a penalty shootout.
There were 16 penalty shots that had to be taken in this duel, until finally the Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team won dramatically 7-6 over Thailand.
This victory led Indonesia to qualify for the first time in history for the SEA Games women’s futsal final.
Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team Coach Luis Estrela considered this to be an extraordinary match, especially as his team won over Thailand, which he called a world class team.

“However, my players showed phenomenal character today. They fought without fear!”said Estrela added.
Estrela emphasized that this victory was not a coincidence, but rather the result of hard work during intensive preparation.
“Today’s result is not a surprise, this is payment for the team’s hard work over the last two months. They were able to control their emotions in a big, pressure-filled match and continue to believe in the process we build every day,” said Luis Estrela.
Luis Estrela also praised his squad which is dominated by young blood, but has big guts.
“Many of our players are still very young, but they have big guts and the will to develop. I am very proud of their efforts, not only today, but in every training session. This victory is theirs,” said Luis Estrela.
