Morocco U-17’s 16-0 victory over New Caledonia U-17 set a new record in history
U-17 World Cup
since 1985.
The Morocco U-17 national team mercilessly destroyed New Caledonia with a landslide score of 16-0 in the 2025 U-17 World Cup match which was held at Aspire Zona, Al Rayyan, on Sunday (9/11).This result was Morocco’s first win in three group phase matches.
Morocco was already leading 7-0 over New Caledonia in the first half.Nine additional goals were then scored in the second half to close the match with a score of 16-0.

Morocco’s 16-0 victory also managed to break the record as the biggest winning score in the history of a U-17 World Cup match since 1985.
Previously, the record for the biggest win was held by Spain with a 13-0 victory over New Zealand at the 1997 U-17 World Cup.
Apart from that, England also won 10-0 over New Caledonia in the 2023 U-17 World Cup. Then New Caledonia also lost with a landslide score of 0-9 to Brazil in the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
Amazingly, in the match against New Caledonia on Sunday (9/11), Morocco had 10 different goal scorers in the victory.No Moroccan player has scored more than two goals.
Oualid Ibn Salah, Abdelali Eddaoudi, Ziyad Baha, Nahël Haddani, Abdellah Ouazane and Ismail El Aoud all scored twice, while Bilal Soukrat, Ilyas Hidaoui and Zakari El Khalfioui each scored one goal, plus Steevy Andrew’s own goal.
Morocco finished third in the group after losing their first two games to bag just three points, but a +8 goal difference boosted their Round of 32 hopes significantly and almost guaranteed them a place in the knockout stages.
