According to Beijing, Takaichi’s remarks show that Japan does not respect major changes that have made China stronger, and that Japan has military ambitions that could hinder China’s rise.
“This is the first time a Japanese leader has shown the intention of armed intervention to Taiwan and military threats to China,” wrote the People’s Daily, as quoted

.
“Behind it, there appears to be a dangerous attempt by Japan’s right-wing groups to escape the restrictions of the pacifist constitution and pursue a position as a military power,” the media report said.
The tensions of almost two weeks show China’s great concern about changes in its military attitude in Asia.
Especially in the United States’ allies who are increasing defense spending and cooperation in the face of China’s rising military power.
Japan is the biggest source of anxiety for China because in the 20th century, it had a track record of invasions, civilians and cruelty.
Where Japanese troops killed as many as 200,000 unarmed civilians and tortured tens of thousands of women and girls.
Japanese leaders have previously avoided discussing Taiwan in the context of a military response.
But politicians in Takaichi’s party are increasingly wary of the implications for Tokyo if Beijing attacks Taiwan.
Now Takaichi is taking steps to speak frankly about the Taiwan issue.
He also called for security ties with the US and moves to accelerate the country’s defense development.
According to social media accounts linked to the Chinese military, Beijing sees the effort as risking seeing the specter of militarism emerge to wreak havoc on the world.
China views its takeover of Taiwan as having to be completed by the middle of this century.
If Beijing decides it must be achieved by force, then this will be very complicated because Japan is stronger.
According to the Director of the Institute of International Affairs at Renmin University in Beijing, Takaichi’s remarks were summed up as “the wrong person, talking about the wrong thing” at the “wrong time.”
Although earlier this week, Tokyo sent an envoy to Beijing to defuse the conflict, Beijing has not shown that it will reduce its rhetoric.
They will urge Tokyo to retract Takaichi’s comments.
